Emily Miller received her BFA in Choreography from Columbia College Chicago in 2008. In addition to dancing for numerous Chicago companies and national choreographers, she has produced several evening length works, collaborative projects, designed sound professionally, and has been a joyful collaborator and member of Kate Corby and Dancers (katecorby.com) since 2009. She is the Artistic Director of the GET DOWN/PICK UP Company (getdownpickup.org) formed in 2008 which has performed in numerous festivals, venues, and split bills in Chicago and NYC. Emily was the Marketing and Development Associate for David Dorfman Dance (www.daviddorfmandance.org) from 2010-2013. Emily is also the Artistic Director of Performing Arts Workshop (dancepaw.com) in Encinitas, CA where everyone from the dance appreciator to the seasoned professional are equally valued and served through high-caliber technical training, performance opportunities, and individual focus.
